My Story ...

... I began my career in 2001, when cybersecurity was still taking shape and most of us were learning by building and breaking what we had just created. My first real challenge was protecting one of the earliest online banking gateways, in a time when server-side programming was still immature and every configuration mistake carried risk. That experience set the tone for everything that followed. 

Over the next two decades I worked across finance, industry, and consulting, leading security programs, designing complex infrastructures, and guiding executive teams through digital transformations. I have helped organizations modernize architectures, automate pipelines, and strengthen their monitoring and response capabilities. 

Half of my career was dedicated to protecting global financial institutions, where I contributed to some of Europe’s largest digital and cloud transformations, translating regulatory and technical requirements into practical roadmaps and measurable outcomes. Later I expanded into other sectors including telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, transport, energy, and technology research and development, focusing on the convergence of IT and OT security in industrial environments. 

My technical learning never stopped, but I have complemented it with business fluency, the ability to brief Boards and executives, and the discipline to link strategy, architecture, and leadership into one consistent vision. Today I advise organizations that want to evolve their security posture with strategies that align technology, process, and people. After 25 years I am still driven by the same curiosity that started it all, connecting dots across complex systems, identifying emerging risks, and shaping modern, resilient defenses that make sense to both engineers and executives.
